During the month of January, my 7th and 8th grade math students are tackling a variety of concepts.
7th Grade: 7th graders are reviewing and re-learning concepts such as prime factorization and equivalent fractions through the use of modeling and of course, lots of practice!
8th Grade: 8th grade is learning to solve increasingly more difficult algebraic equations, including one-step, two-step, and multiple variable equations. Algebra tiles and repeated practice have proven extremely successful!
