During March, 6th grade will be gearing up for a more advanced version of the research report, complete with parentheical citations and a works cited page. Topic is to be announced.

7th grade will also be working on their citation skills when they draft an expository essay this month using direct quotations within the piece. They will also hone their ability to punctuate correctly.

Persuasive writing is 8th grade's latest challenge. Students will practice stating position statements, reasons, and explanations. This will culminate with a persuasive essay.
